List of Draft Proposals that should appear under a ‘Draft Proposals’ category on the forum by date. If there are a few missed ones please list to keep all in one place.
Which would you prioritise if you had to choose 3?
May 3rd 2025
1. Global Petition Chain for Assange’s Pardon
2. Global Campaign to Pardon Assange
3. Launch of the Information Freedom, Freedom of Expression Global Education & Awareness Initiative
4. Launch of the Global Information Freedom Index (GIF Index)
5. Build a Decentralized News Aggregation Platform
6. Develop a Decentralized Emergency Response Network
7. Develop the AssangeDAO Metaverse Space
8. Launch of the “Information Freedom Gamification Initiative”
9. Establish a Legal Defense Fund and Global Public Interest Legal Network
10. Expand the $JUSTICE Token Ecosystem
These are all grouped individual draft proposals appearing on one post - one has to go to the following link for the detail for each.
This relates to Project Idea: Freedom Wall
A simple app on our website that lets users write messages honoring Julian Assange’s freedom, stored on the Ethereum blockchain.
•Messages are permanently recorded and viewable on our site or via Etherscan.
•Requires a minimum donation of 0.01 ETH (~$16.39 USD), with 100% going to the DAO treasury.
•Users must hold at least 100,000 JUSTICE (~$10 USD) to write messages.
•Gas fees apply, estimated at $7–10+ in ETH per message (up to 280 characters, tweet-length).
•Website could sort messages by “Newest to Oldest” or by donation amount to encourage larger contributions.
Comment - **Project Idea: Decentralized WikiLeaks". I looked into this a bit more deeply and I do really like the idea of having a decentralised wikileaks archive. This could be similar to https://www.projectspartacus.xyz/, which Gabriel has been involved with, or it could be combined with Amir’s DarkLeaks idea. Project Spartacus is relaunching in July.
AssangeDAO NFT Art Contest - I think this one as it combines the ‘freedom’ alignment with a NFT element. [The PAK open edition NFT raised 671 ETH ($2.1 million)]
Possible words for a new mission statement for the website
“To secure a full pardon for Julian Assange, defend press freedom, and advance global transparency by empowering whistleblowers to expose corruption and abuses of power responsibly, while inspiring a powerful decentralised digital activism network to fight for Assange’s freedom and the right to truth. The AssangeDAO seeks to advance such blockchain-based initiatives.”
Thank you for organizing the files, Peter.
From my perspective, the three most important proposals to implement are:
Return of ETH from Wau Holland
Assange Pardon Petition Chain
Multisig Signer Framework
These are the top three priorities selected through the AIP-16 vote and I have always respected the results of the vote. Following this, I believe more effort should be directed toward refining governance and strengthening infrastructure.
Versky - Which one of the links is this one included or does it combine a couple of those drafts/ideas on Zylo’s list?
That other one is Expand the $JUSTICE Token Ecosystem
Proposal Summary:
This initiative aims to strengthen the utility, liquidity, and economic sustainability of the $JUSTICE token by expanding its use cases, incentivizing long-term holding, and integrating it into the broader Web3 ecosystem. By doing so, AssangeDAO can attract more supporters, contributors, and investors while reinforcing its mission through a robust token economy.
Key Components:
• Token Utility Expansion:
Payment Use Cases:
Enable $JUSTICE to be used for:
Purchasing AssangeDAO NFTs
Accessing exclusive digital content
Buying event tickets for metaverse and real-world events
Staking & Revenue Sharing:
Introduce a staking mechanism where token holders can lock their $JUSTICE to:
Earn a share of DAO-generated revenue (e.g. NFT sales, donations, campaign funds)
Gain access to premium governance privileges or early access content
Governance Weighting:
Implement governance power scaling based on token holdings to reward long-term commitment and increase participation in DAO decision-making.
re - The update of the website - interconnects to the new mission statement.
Refer to the Mission Statement thread which partly covers views about what should appear on the Website. Im going to extract all that has been written about it - so its all in in that single place. Seems to be alot that has to be decided upon before the website gets finalised.
