This proposal aims to build and launch the Freedom Wall, a censorship-resistant public message board dedicated to celebrating Julian Assange’s freedom and legacy.
It will run on a dedicated AssangeDAO blockchain or L2 rollup, where $JUSTICE serves as the native gas token, and each message requires both gas and an additional 1,000 $JUSTICE tribute fee.
The Freedom Wall will serve as a memorial, communication hub, and fundraising tool — advancing DAO visibility and $JUSTICE utility.
Technical & Implementation Plan
Deployment
Launch an AssangeDAO-dedicated L2 (e.g., Arbitrum Orbit / OP Stack / Polygon CDK)
Configure $JUSTICE as the native gas token
Deploy a smart contract with:
On-chain storage of message, timestamp, sender
Flat 1,000 $JUSTICE fee per message, in addition to gas
100% of collected $JUSTICE goes to DAO treasury or validators
No inflation or token issuance; reuses circulating supply
Why This Matters
Adds clear, real utility to $JUSTICE token
Creates an interactive tribute that keeps Assange’s mission visible
Builds DAO financial runway via token circulation + visibility
Attracts media, crypto press, and public participants
Alignment with Assange’s Values
This project embodies the principles of free speech, decentralized resistance, and global solidarity. The blockchain-based message wall ensures that every supporter’s voice becomes part of an unalterable archive of freedom.
Outreach & Engagement
Twitter integration: Post-submission popup encourages users to share their message using hashtags like #FreedomWall, #FreeAssange, #JusticeChain
Future campaigns could include:
NFT “Message of the Month”
Rewards for most-shared message
Community art display linked to top messages
Moderation Policy
Messages stored immutably on-chain; DAO cannot delete
Frontend moderation may flag or hide abusive content
Community-led moderation guidelines to be proposed in a separate AIP

Yes — Approve the development of the Freedom Wall on an AssangeDAO-powered chain
No — Do not proceed with this project at this time.
Thanks for the encouragement — I really appreciate it!
That said, to make projects like the Freedom Wall, Justice Journal, and on-chain petitions a reality, we first need to address a critical technical decision: Which blockchain should we build on?
Should AssangeDAO launch its own dedicated chain, or deploy on an existing low-gas network like Optimism, Polygon, or BNB Chain? This will directly affect cost, scalability, and how accessible these tools are to the public.
It’s important that the community actively joins this discussion — the choice of infrastructure will shape the long-term success of these initiatives.
Let’s work together to make sure we’re building on the right foundation.
Before deciding on this matter, we can list the advantages and disadvantages of the chain in question, so it will be clear at a glance.
But I don’t recommend the BNB chain, its verification nodes are too centralized and not decentralized enough, and it’s not the L2 chain of Ether. Solana has more momentum and is fairer if you choose another main chain.
If we aim to launch the Freedom Wall on Freedom Day, I would recommend deploying it on BNB Chain. Deploying on BNB Chain would significantly increase the potential for $JUSTICE to be listed on Binance Alpha in the future. Aligning with BNB’s ecosystem not only lowers gas costs and enhances user accessibility, but also strategically positions the token within Binance’s broader infrastructure — which could be a major advantage for exposure and adoption.
Solana isn’t EVM-compatible — which means high dev costs, wallet reconstruction, and no compatibility with our current governance and $JUSTICE contracts. That makes short-term deployment nearly impossible.
BNB Chain, while more centralized, is EVM-compatible and allows fast, low-cost development using our existing tools. If we want to launch something like Freedom Wall soon, BNB is the more practical choice.
Thank you for your work. The disadvantage of using a BNB chain is that it will lose the large number of Ether users. In addition, BNB’s ecosystem is lacking, which will affect the implementation of the previous proposal like “Establish a virtual presence for AssangeDAO within decentralized metaverse platforms such as Decentraland or The Sandbox ”, and the actual use of BNB chains is not popular, which will also affect donations and distributions. As well as just mentioned that BNB is an L1.
Yet we know from experience that the market capitalization of tokens in the Ether ecosystem is usually very high, and even the Solana ecosystem, which is gaining momentum, is generally not as large as Ether, and the BNB chain even lacks a high market capitalization project.
I don’t think it’s practical to build a project ecosystem on the Solana chain, but it’s possible to bridge tokens to be traded there. the same goes for the BNB chain, not really suitable for building a project ecosystem there, but only for trading after bridging. Only as a means to attract users from different chains.
So in comparison, L2 is more suitable, but the main ethereum network has recently lowered the gas fee, with an average transaction fee of less than 0.2USD. this may provide a new reference for whether to change the network or not.
Thanks for pointing that out. If Ethereum gas fees remain low recently — and considering the goal of launching on Freedom Day — then there may be no need to go cross-chain in the short term. Deploying directly on Ethereum could actually be the better choice.
Users will cover their own transaction gas when signing. DAO only funds infrastructure, incentives, and engagement tools. Budget can be trimmed if development is done by volunteers.
I think these proposals are all good, they can be implemented, there are few differences, and the cost is low. After three years of silence in official activities, we can officially announce some activities to tell the crypto community that we are still here, which is very important.
