Proposal: Update the AssangeDAO Website Content Using the New Draft Design

This proposal recommends updating the official AssangeDAO website with a new draft version currently hosted at Assange DAO. The update will retain the current domain name (http://assangedao.org), and only replace the homepage and DAO-related content with a more modern and informative layout.

The new website draft was created by community contributors Zylo to provide better clarity on the DAO’s mission, current status, token economy, and upcoming governance plans. It includes visual redesigns, simplified explanations, and integration points for future features (such as Snapshot links, donation options, and proposal updates).

This update will improve the onboarding experience for new visitors, strengthen public trust, and signal to the crypto and free speech communities that AssangeDAO is active and evolving.

No smart contracts, domains, or security-critical infrastructure will be changed in this proposal — only the visible content of the homepage and linked informational sections.

The domain http://assangedao.org will remain unchanged.

Upon approval, the website maintainer(s) will upload the new static content from Assange DAO to the http://assangedao.org server.

The new content will replace the homepage, mission section, and outdated DAO info pages.

All prior content will be archived for transparency.

Future additions (e.g. Snapshot voting, treasury dashboards) can be integrated iteratively.

The update honors Julian’s mission by improving transparency and accessibility.

No content misrepresents Assange or the DAO’s original intent.

If needed, Gabriel Shipton or other members of the Consensus Unit may review the text for accuracy and alignment with the family’s values.

This proposal will be published on the AssangeDAO forum for community feedback.

Any feedback submitted during the discussion period will be considered before deployment.

Moderators will ensure discussion is civil and focused.

This bit could be expanded - " How Will the DAO Raise Funds? - as ideas for forthcoming projects go beyond the NFT market.

“The DAO will partner with high-profile individuals and artists on NFT auctions to raise funds for the treasury.”

Ideas are already being posted which go beyond the above statement.

WHS suggested that DAO auction the clock NFT to improve our financial situation. Maybe one day we can sell it in the Dutch auction.we also look forward to good projects cooperating with us.

I recall WH did say this. It is a historical artefact, though. When it wasn’t working I didn’t think it would have had value. Now that it is working thanks to Zylo it remains a symbol of going forward and should be kept on the DAOs website.

Below was a good project idea expressed from Zylo recently and maybe an easier way to reestablish the DAOs earnings than dealing with WH on the ClockNFT issue (seeing as the return of the remaining funds is far more important).

Is there ANY reason why this cannot commence simultaneously as the GTU transition process??

Did everyone know there is a new documentary about Julian and Stella coming soon and they will be walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival? Some ideas for a NFT from that activity perhaps?

Or the recent visit to the Vatican?

We had a few people who were nominated for the GTU who had NFT backgrounds can they advice what sort of marketing is more likely to work as the first NFT project? Should the DAO form a marketing team ASAP to decide on the NFT marketing priorities?
