@zylo_eth, with AIP-20 carried out, the mission vote is the next step. AIP-20 itself depends on it: staking rewards stay in the Perpetual Fund until holders have voted on an updated mission.
Your four versions above have been the starting point for our discussion. The Chinese-speaking community has spent the past few days on them and would like to put forward one more:

AssangeDAO holds to Julian Assange’s belief: “If wars can be started by lies, peace can be started by truth.”Our mission is peace: to support work that resolves conflict and builds understanding, and to sustain the worldwide solidarity that helped win Assange his freedom, so that no one who speaks up for peace has to stand alone.
Our principle: we neither support nor oppose any political party, government, or candidate.
Why this one:
- It begins with Julian’s own words, so the DAO stays rooted in him and in what it did for him.
- It puts the shared aim in front, peace, which holders from very different places can all stand behind.
- Like your versions, it keeps the link between truth and justice, through his words.
The last line, the principle, could sit alongside whichever version holders choose.
If most people here are comfortable with it, could you add it to the AIP-18 vote as a fifth option, next to your four? On your earlier point about split votes: with five options, a ranked-choice vote on Snapshot would let the result reflect where holders actually stand, rather than whichever option a split happens to favour.
One more request, whichever options end up on the ballot: let’s set a date. AIP-18 was withdrawn last November to be refined, and ten months passed. AIP-20 has just shown that holders turn out when there is a clear vote in front of them. While that is fresh, I’d suggest a three-day discussion, as AIP-16 had, then the one-day delay and two-day vote AIP-20 used:
- Discussion here until 23:59 UTC on Sunday 18 October.
- Uploaded to Snapshot at 00:00 UTC on Monday 19 October.
- Voting from 00:00 UTC on Tuesday 20 October to 00:00 UTC on Thursday 22 October.
Anything not raised by the 18th can still be proposed later; the mission can be amended by a future vote. What matters now is that the DAO has one.

- 以阿桑奇本人的话开篇，DAO 始终扎根于他、扎根于当年为他所做的一切；
- 把"和平"这个共同目标放在前面，来自不同地方的持币人都能认同；
- 和你的版本一样，通过阿桑奇的原话，保留了真相与正义之间的联系。
最后一句原则，无论持币人最终选择哪个版本，都可以一并采用。
如果论坛上大多数人认可，能否请你把它作为第五个选项，和你的四个版本一起列入 AIP-18 投票？关于你之前提到的分票问题：有五个选项时，可以在 Snapshot 上采用排序投票（ranked-choice），这样结果能真实反映持币人的意愿，而不会因为分票让某个选项意外胜出。
另外还有一个请求，无论最终有几个选项：我们定一个时间表吧。AIP-18 去年 11 月撤回修改，之后一等就是十个月。AIP-20 刚刚证明，只要有明确的投票，持币人就会积极参与。趁着这股热度还在，建议像 AIP-16 那样论坛讨论三天，然后沿用 AIP-20 的"延迟一天、投票两天"：

- 10 月 19 日（周一）UTC 00:00 上传 Snapshot；
- 投票时间为 10 月 20 日（周二）UTC 00:00 至 10 月 22 日（周四）UTC 00:00。
18 日之前没来得及提出的想法，以后仍可以再提；使命本身也可以通过之后的投票修订。现在最重要的，是让 DAO 先有一个使命。
