Forum Features to Add

The AssangeDAO forum is the official place for proposals and longer-form discussion, but it is still running on a fairly basic Discourse setup. A few relatively straightforward improvements would make it more useful for the multilingual community and better aligned with the rest of the DAO.

1. Multilingual support (highest priority)

Discourse now has built-in AI Content Localization. This adds automatic translation of posts, titles, and categories, plus a language switcher.

Given how often proposals already appear in both English and Chinese, enabling this for at least those two languages would remove the need for manual bilingual posts and make the forum more accessible. UI localization for Chinese is also available natively.

2. Sign-In with Ethereum

Maintained plugins exist that let users log in with a wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, WalletConnect, Safe/EIP-1271, ENS names and avatars).

This would let people associate their JUSTICE-holding address with their forum account without extra friction and make the forum feel more native to the DAO.

3. Branding and theme

The current look is default Discourse. A light custom theme that matches the justice.exchange sites would make the forum feel like part of the same ecosystem instead of a separate tool.

4. Categories and organization

Current categories are minimal (General, Governance, News, Site Feedback, etc.). Adding clearer ones such as Proposals, Treasury, and Clock NFT, plus pinning the active mission discussion and key ongoing proposals, would make it easier for people to find what matters.

5. Crypto price ticker (optional)

A simple Discourse plugin can display live ETH and JUSTICE prices. Low effort and useful context when treasury or liquidity topics are being discussed.

These are all either core Discourse features or well-supported plugins. None require custom smart contracts or major development.

If people are interested, we can prioritize which ones to enable first (I’d start with multilingual support and SIWE) and check hosting constraints before turning anything on.

Feedback welcome.
